Naftuh Lookout is a breathtaking observatory located on a mountain peak approximately 700 meters above sea level. From this vantage point, you can see the ancient village of Lifta, Samuel’s Tomb, and the neighborhoods of Jerusalem, including Pisgat Ze’ev and Givat Shaul.
The round trip from Gan HaKipod to Naftuh Lookout is about 1.5 km and takes between one to one and a half hours. Along the way, you might encounter deer, foxes, and jackals, along with the impressive seasonal blooming of irises, orchids, cyclamens, anemones, and daffodils.
Inside Gan HaKipod, KKL-JNF has placed a sign that provides an explanation of the trail, including a map. To begin, exit Gan HaKipod and head towards the blue trail. After walking approximately 100 meters, when the blue trail intersects with the green trail, turn onto the green trail. After another 100 meters, when the green trail intersects with the black trail, follow the black trail, which is a circular route that passes through Naftuh Lookout.

The Bible Park is situated in Ramot Forest, featuring artifacts from the First Temple period (6th-8th centuries BC) such as pottery, winepresses, lime pits, water cisterns, and remnants of the ancient road to Jerusalem, along with other agricultural installations. Additionally, the park contains a monument dedicated to those who lost their lives in the September 11 attacks, overlooking the Arazim Valley.
Inside Gan HaKipod, the KKL-JNF has placed a sign with an explanation of the route, including a map. To access the Bible Park, exit Gan HaKipod and follow Shvil HaTayelt (the blue trail) until you reach your destination.

HaTsvaim (Deers) Trail is slightly more challenging, designed for those with good walking skills. This trail winds through Arazim Valley, allowing you to experience the depth of the Ramot Forest.
To reach the Tsvaim Trail, exit the park towards the Shvil HaTayelet (the blue trail), then turn right. After about 200 meters, you’ll reach an intersection with the Tsvaim Trail (the red trail), where you will turn right and continue approximately 2 km until you reach the Torchiner Lookout parking lot. From there, turn right onto the Shvil HaTayelet (the blue trail) and walk about 100 meters back to HaKipod Park.
